With 10 players who tested Covid-19 positive in the first round of testing, Pakistan has named a new 20-person team that will travel to England on Sunday (June 28). The young pace bowler Musa Khan and the wicket keeper batsman Rohail Nazir are newcomers to the team that stands out from the 29-man squad mentioned above.
Although 10 players initially tested positive, the number dropped to four, with Mohammad Hafeez, Wahab Riaz, Fakhar Zaman, Shadab Khan, Mohammad Rizwan, and Mohammad Hasnain all testing negative.

They will undergo another round of testing, after which they will be flown to England if the results are negative. Pakistan will open its tour to England with a test series, and PCB CEO Wasim Khan and head coach Misbah-ul-Haq are satisfied with the group of players available.
“With the test series being played for the first time in August, Misbah is happy with the group of players who travel on Sunday as the focus will be on preparing the red ball,” said Khan. “Misbah recognizes that flexibility and adaptability are required in his training and exercise plan when working under different guidelines.”
Of the first 29 players, Bilal Asif, Imran Butt and Mohammad Nawaz missed a place in the shortened touring party. Shoaib Malik, who only competes for the limited-overs stage of the tour, was not included in the 20-man roster, but will likely join the team later.
Kashif Bhatti, Haris Rauf, Haider Ali and Imran Khan are in quarantine after two positive tests. These four players must return negatively in two consecutive tests to be able to take the tour at some point.

“It must be remembered that these players were asymptomatic, which means that their chances of getting fully fit are higher and better than most of the others. Once these players are negative tested twice during the PCB testing process they flew to England to join the squad, “Wasim Khan said.
The 20 players and 11 support staff will travel on a charter flight on Sunday. You must go through a mandatory 14-day isolation period in Worcestershire before moving to Derbyshire. The first test game is scheduled for July 30th.
