Pakistan’s top pros will compete in the Chevron DHA Karachi Cup All Pakistan Open Golf Championship, which kicks off today (Thursday) with the Country and Golf Club (DAC & GC).
Pakistan’s best players have confirmed their participation in a prestigious tournament involving prize money of 2 million rupees. The tournament will take place from the 7th to the 10th of February. The main professional event will be played from February 8th to 10th over 54 holes.
Matloob Ahmed of Lahore, who was in a productive form, will want to defend his title at the prestigious event.
Top professionals and amateurs from across the country will be part of the tournament’s outstanding cast, sponsored by Chevron Pakistan Lubricants (Private) Limited, a manufacturer and distributor of premium lubricants in Pakistan.
This tournament is a one-time annual event of the Pakistan Golf Federation calendar, which is one of the most prestigious golf events in Pakistan. More than 200 golfers will participate in the tournament, where the main event will be for professionals and amateurs. Other events to be held during the tournament include senior professionals, seniors, veterans, ladies, juniors and champions.
At a press conference held here at the DAC & GC on Wednesday, Muhammad Najam Shamsuddin, Country Chairman and Area Business Manager of Chevron Pakistan Lubricants (Private) Limited, reiterated his commitment to promoting sport in Pakistan.
