Alzarri Joseph Replaces Isuru Udana At The Patriots In CPL 2019

The St. Kitts & Nevis Patriots have replaced Isuru Udana, who is no longer available for Hero CPL due to international commitments. He will be replaced by West Indian fast bowler Alzarri Joseph, who plays for the Patriots since 2016. Joseph has taken nine tests and 16 ODIs for the West Indies, but missed the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 due to injury.

As a cricketer of the Windward Islands, there is a strong local link for the Antiguan Joseph. The Patriots are very proud to represent the Windward Islands at CPL. Adding a local player of this quality to the squad for the 2019 tournament is a huge boost to the franchise.

Cricket Patriots Director Robin Singh said: “It’s always frustrating to lose players so close to the start of the tournament, but in Alzarri we have a local player who is world-class and has a track record. As a promising young fast bowler, having Alzarri with us is exciting. We believe that the Patriots have a very strong team this year and we are confident that we will be able to complete the knockout round and achieve our first title. “
