Pakistan Women’s Cricket Team Captain Bismah Maroof is confident for her team squad which is consists of youngsters and match winners which will be the key to success.
She said I cannot wait to see how they do in the upcoming tournament the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2020.
Our squad has winners and players who can turn the game upside down, which is very exciting for us in a tournament where every game counts.
A win can easily be the difference whether you qualify for the semi-finals or not.
It only takes a player and a moment to win a cricket match and we are confident that we have the right staff to do it for us.
We have a lot of young people on our side who are brave and express themselves. It will be exciting to see them play – we have an average age of 24.8 years in the team, which is both a look at the future and a look at the skills of these players at the moment.
Ayesha Naseem does not have an international cap yet, but at only 15 we have already seen that she is a talented player. Their ability to not only score runs but also to score quickly is an outstanding achievement at home.
Another young player, Syeda Aroob Shah, is only 16 years old and has already played for us in ODI and T20I games.
We have already seen her broken legs and bowling challenge some of the best fighters in the world, and we look forward to seeing what she can do in Australia.
It is important that every player in the team understands their role and delivers according to the plan.
We are very excited about the T20 World Championship and are looking forward to it. If the players reach their full potential and can produce some great moments for us, we are very confident about having a successful tournament in Australia.
We played very good cricket last year and did some great performances in the T20I format. We lost to England in our last series, but before that, we showed some excellent performances against Bangladesh to win the series 3-0.
We were also in South Africa and had a really exciting series there, so we enjoyed gathering this experience as a team and putting together a few gigs.
If you look at the graph of our performance, the results are on the rise and I hope that it will stay that way at the upcoming World Cup.
These are the moments we have prepared for and we hope to use the hard work in Australia to our advantage. The cricket brand we played and the way we performed were very important to us.
We want to continue playing the same way over the next few weeks and hope that we will be successful in Australia.
