From the last 2 months, almost all sports were shut down due to the Covid-19 threat. Bundesliga was also suspended due to this worldwide pandemic but now there is good news for football lovers because Bundesliga and Bundesliga 2 are resuming from 26th matchday.
Bundesliga Fixtures Schedule
Executive Committee of DFL held a video conference on 7th May 2020 where 36 clubs of Bundesliga and Bundesliga 2 were present and they decided to resume this league from 26th match day which will start from May 16, 2020.
In both leagues, the season continues from matchday 26. The following match days follow in the order originally planned. The final match days of the Bundesliga and Bundesliga 2 are scheduled for June 27 and 28, respectively. Since an adjustment of the overall plan is necessary for the planning of the match days until the end of the season, final discussions are currently taking place with the DFB to coordinate this adjustment.
The second wave of coronavirus testing planned before team training begins has now been completed. It included 1,695 tests. Two cases of infection were identified and immediately reported to local health authorities, who decide which steps to take.
