Cumilla Warriors Keep Their Playoff Dream Alive In Bangladesh Premier League 2019-2020

Cumilla Warriors revive their playoff dream with another win over Sylhet Thunder. Sylhet ended his disappointing season with another loss when he won only 2 out of 12 games. Cumilla moved up to fifth place in the table with 10 points from 10 games.

Thunder prevailed first and scored a total of 141 goals thanks to the 45th top scorer Abdul Majid. Johnson Charles and Jeevan Mendis were successful with 26 and 25 points, respectively. Al-Amin Hossain and David Wiese each grabbed two gates.

Warriors started their innings slowly and lost 3 gates for 32 runs in 7.5 overs. At that point, Thunder sniffed a consolation win, but Dawid Malan and Soumya Sarkar struck heart with a 72-run stand and won the match for the Warriors.

Malan was sacked after scoring 58 points, but Soumya stayed at the knee until the end, unbeaten with 53 points to win the match with 5 balls and 5 gates. Nayeem Hasan has beheaded 3 gates for 21 gates for thunder.
