Fast Bowler Taskin Ahmed Has Been Included In Bangladesh Squad Against Afghanistan

Bangladesh has announced its squad for the one-off test against Afghanistan next month.

Fast bowler Taskin Ahmed was added to the squad – his last test appearance was in October 2017 – while left-hander Mustafizur Rahman is not on the 15-man list.

Taskin was picked up in New Zealand’s Bangladesh squad for his ODI and Test series earlier this year before being injured in his left ankle.

Tamim Iqbal, Bangladesh’s experienced left-hander, was not included in the squad.

Shakib Al Hasan returns to the international scene after resting for the Sri Lanka ODI series last month and will lead the team in their very first test against the Afghans.

The test starts on September 5th in the Chattogram.
