FC Goa star player and Player of the Season, Hugo Boumous has made a shocking announcement in social media that he is leaving the Goa based club, but a hour later FC Goa released a official statement regarding this quoting that Hugo Boumous still has 2 years left on his contract and can not leave with activating his release clause.

The social media has been buzzibg about the situation of Hugo Boumous and FC Goa. The player of the season for ISL 2019-20, Hugo Boumous returned home after ISL ended and then through lot of interviews, he had stated that he is considering a move near his homeland, either play in France or play nearby France.
Today Boumous suddenly dropped a bombshell when he announced that he is leaving the club. He wrote on his social media, “Dear Goa, I would like to announce that my journey with FC Goa is over. It has been a hard decision to make.”
“I’m grateful to have represented the colours and the state of Goa across the Indian Super League. Thanks for all the love I received from the fans during the two years spent with you.”
“It’s been an absolute pleasure working with all the staff and teammates in this time. So many memories for the rest of my life and I’ll always have you in my heart. An hour after this announcement Hugo Boumous, FC Goa released a official statement which says, “The club would like to state that Hugo Boumous continues to remain a contracted with FC Goa. There is no agreement that has been reached with any other club on the same”
The 25 year old had a stellar season in ISL 2019-20 as he won the Player of the Season award. Such impressive performance absolutely deserves links with other clubs.
As per some sources, an foreign club has approached Hugo and both parties have agreed on personal terms, now all that remains is paying the transfer fee that FC Goa will ask.
