Pakistan’s future tennis hope Huzaifa Abdul Rehman and Bader Alabdullah of Kuwait will compete for the highest awards in Senator Dilawar Abbas’s PTF Complex singles final in the singles final of the Syed Tajammul Abbas ITF Pakistan Junior World Cup 2019.
In the first semi-final on Friday, Huzaifa continued his winning streak by beating Berk Ulas Enc of Turkey in straight sets. Huzafia showed excellent tennis and did not allow his opponent to calm down during the game. His mighty bonuses, payline winners and overtaking maneuvers were too hot for the Turkish guy, who was just a sparse spectator in the match.
In the second semi-final Bader Alabdullah from Kuwait defeated his countryman Essa Qabazard in straight sets. Both players showed good tennis, but it was Bader who prevailed and finished last.
In the girls’ semifinals, Korea’s third seed Aysegul Mert (TUR) stunned Ji Hyng Kang in straight sets by playing mighty forehand cross-court and line-drives, while Ayesgul did not allow her second set to settle and won Set, without a single game to cash.
In the second semifinal Arina Valitova from Russia fought hard to win the match against Anjalika Kurera from Sri Lanka. In the first set Arina showed her supremacy by playing powerful landslaps and blows from crossfields. In the second set Anjalika came back strongly and showed strong resistance as both players kept their respective serve and the score went to 5-5. Arina played some excellent, powerful punches and broke Anjalika’s eleventh game. Arina won the set and the match to enter the final.
In the boys’ semi-final, Berk Ula’s ENC (TUR) / Togan Makzume (TUR) beat Abdullah Adnan / Ahmed Kamil in a three-goal thriller. Abdullah Adnan / Ahmed Kamil won the first set 6: 3, but could not beat the Turks in the second set and lost in a draw.
In a tie, all players exchanged about the line and the strokes and showed good tennis skills. In the Superpause, which was marked with some praise, volleys and downline lines, Berk Ulas / Togan Makzume won and qualified for the final. In the second semi-final, Shoaib Khan / Huzaifa Abdul Rehman of Pakistan beat Ali Alshati / Essa Qabazard of Kuwait 6-2, 6-2.
Senator Syed Dilawar Abbas, Patron of the Pakistan Tennis Federation (PTF), and President Senator Salim Saifullah Khan visited the venue and witnessed the Games. They interacted with foreign players and thanked them for their visit to Pakistan and participation in the championship.
