I am Extremely Disappointed And Hurt, I Did My Wholehearted Effort To Lift Pakistan Cricket: Mickey Arthur

Mickey Arthur has spoken for the first time since the confirmation of the Pakistan Cricket Board that he will not renew his contract as Pakistani head coach.

“I am very disappointed and hurt,” he told AFP. “I wholeheartedly endeavored to lift Pakistan Cricket.”

His condolences shocked Pakistan when it failed to reach the round of 16 in the Men’s Cricket World Cup 2019, but his reign included many highlights. In 2017, Pakistan has baffled the cricket world by leaping to the Champions Trophy crown, a victory that Arthur has “created a whole new team of young players.”

“We also became number one in Twenty20 cricket at this time, which was an achievement,” he said. During his reign, Pakistan briefly took first place in the MRF Tires Test Team ranking.

Bowling coach Azhar Mahmood, punch coach Grant Flower and coach Grant Luden have also released the PCB. Replacements still need to be confirmed.
