I do not think every tournament can be my last: Roger Federer

For Roger Federer, life in the present is the key to survival at the highest level. In a conversation with reporters after his victory against Stefanos Tsitsipas, Federer said: “I do not do my career or my tournaments these days anymore and I think this is the last time I play one?” I’m just trying to enjoy the moment he is.

I’m just curious what happens. These events, as well as the Laver Cup and other team competitions, bring players closer together. Of course men and women take part in many tournaments, but it is not the same when you play against each other or when you share the same field.

‘Federer loves the Hopman Cup and he is sad that this tournament will go away:’ I want to see international tennis here in Perth. If it’s the Hopman Cup, it’s great, and if not, it’s a shame and we had an incredible event here so many years ago.

I love it when you honor people like Harry Hofmann and Lucie Hoffman who have done so much wonderful work. The players have always enjoyed this event and hope it will continue in some form.

“Federer was also asked if he learned something new from his game against Tsitsipas about his own tennis:” I learned from his game that I did not learn anything for my game, and for me it’s about maintaining a good level of play. I am happy Where is my game?
