India qualified for the T20 Women’s World Cup final for the first time after the semi-final against England at the Sydney Cricket Ground was canceled due to rain.
India made progress at the expense of England by winning its group and winning all four Group A pool games.
They will compete against South Africa or Australia in the MCG on Sunday, March 8th, International Women’s Day.
The second semi-final is also scheduled for March 5. If it is also washed out, South Africa as Group B winner will reach the T20 World Cup final.
