The Barbados Tridents have announced two substitutions for the 2019 season. JP Duminy and Josh Lalor are now playing in this year’s Hero Caribbean Premier League. They will replace Wahab Riaz and Imad Wasim, which are no longer available due to international obligations.
All-rounder JP Duminy has played more than 300 times in South Africa in tests, ODIs and T20s, scoring more than 9000 runs in international cricket and well over 100 international goals. Duminy has played in T20 leagues in India, Pakistan, England and his native South Africa and has a wealth of experience to bring to the Tridents.
Josh Lalor is a left arm bowler who was successful in the Big Bash League for the Brisbane Heat. He was one of the standout players of the 2019 tournament, scoring a hat-trick against the Perth Scorchers and a five-wicket move against the Sydney Sixers. His left armpits will give Trident’s already strong bowling attack a valuable change.
