One of these two teams is sure to open its account in the points table when Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) takes on Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in the eighth game of the Dream11 Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020 at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi on Saturday.

While SRH lost their first game of the season to Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), the Mumbai Indians (MI) led by Rohit Sharma defeated KKR, led by Dinesh Karthik at the season opener.

For SRH they wanted to win their first game against RCB. But their middle order didn’t have a good outing and it was the undoing of SRH. While Jonny Bairstow Bairstow and Manish Pandey contributed, there wasn’t much of the other SRH batsmen.

KKR also wants their batsmen to do well after their loss to the Mumbai Indians. While Dinesh Karthik scored 30 and Pat Cummins 33 hits, KKR will need a lot more of his striking unit and hope their bowlers hunt in a pack.

In the last five games, SRH has the upper hand with three wins, and KKR aims to make it 3-3 when the teams compete against each other for the sixth time in three years.

With both teams looking to add two points to their account, here are the five players who could make a difference in the game played at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi.

Andre Russell

The West Indian all-rounder didn’t have a good outing during the first KKR game of the season. But Andre Russell will strive to have a great game and contribute to the team’s victory. Russell will be a key player for KKR with his punching power and talent for contributing with the ball and on the field.

Rashid Khan

The Afghan leg spinner was in the first game of the season at SRH without a wicket. But Rashid Khan is a proven match winner with an immense ability to turn the tide in a few balls. How he does his business against the KKR big hitters will make for an interesting tour.

Jonny Bairstow

He was on bat with the bat during SRH’s first game of the season against Royal Challengers Bangalore, and SRH wants him to be good again when it comes to scooping his first win of the season.

Sunil Narine

While Narine the batsman didn’t get many runs against MI, Narine the bowler was the most frugal bowler during the KKR-MI game. He scalped a wicket and only received 22 runs. He could be someone KKR could turn to when they play against Jonny Bairstow and David Warner in power play.

Manish Pandey

Alongside David Warner and Bairstow, Manish Pandey’s form will be critical to the smooth functioning of SRH’s stroke order. A clean striker of the ball, Pandey, scored 34 points in the SRH’s first game against RCB. However, he will try to do more with the bat against his former IPL team.
