New Zealand has nominated its 15-member squad for the ICC Under-19 World Cricket Championship 2020 in South Africa from January to February.
The team will be led by Wellington’s left spin bowling all-rounder, Jesse Tashkoff, and coached by Paul Wiseman.
Wiseman highlighted the upcoming challenge for the young players. “These guys should be proud of their selection in the U19, but they’ll know they’re in for a tough job,” he said.
“We have seen the strength of the Bangladesh U19 national team recently, and we look forward to a very competitive World Cup, and we are very pleased with the squad we have chosen and believe the group gives us the best chance of success.” – but we have no illusions about how hard it will be. “
New Zealand belongs to Group A alongside India, Sri Lanka, and Japan. They will begin their campaign against Japan on January 18 in Potchefstroom.
The team will travel to South Africa in early January to prepare for the tournament.
