On Thursday, two games of the International Kabaddi Taakra series were played at the Dring Stadium.
In the first game, the Pakistani Green Pakistan defeated Whites by four points. Pakistan Greens, led by international Farhan Mana, scored 48 points, Pakistan Whites 44 points.
In the second game, the Indian Punjab team defeated Iran Youngsters by 8 points. The Indian Punjab scored 39 points and the Iran Youngsters 31 points. Before the start of the games national anthems of all participating countries were played. At the end of the Games there was a gratifying award ceremony attended by Commissioner Bahawalpur Division’s Nayyar Iqbal.
It was also attended by Director-General Sport Punjab Nadeem Sarwar, PTI MNA Farooq Azam Malik, Chairman of District Council Sheikh Dilshad Ahmad, Mayor Aqeel Najam Hashmi, Director Sport Hafeez Bhatti, Deputy Director Raid Urizman, Deputy Director Raees ur Rehman and SBP Chief Adviser Shahid Faqeer Virk takes opportunity.
On that occasion, DG Sports Punjab Nadeem Sarwar announced that it would host a month-long sports camp in Bahawalpur in April this year. He thanked Commissioner Bahawalpur and the security authorities for the remarkable arrangements for the opening of International Kabaddi Taakra Games.
