Talented with the bat and behind the stumps, Jos Buttler is one of England’s most exciting talents. Buttler came to the attention of selectors after impressive performances for Somerset and made his one-day international debut for England in 2012. His next chance in the ODI side came almost one year later and 2013 proved a bountiful year for the batsman, who scored two fifties and helped England finish runners-up in the Champions Trophy. Buttler’s notched his first ODI hundred in May 2014, smashing 121 off 74 balls and his Test debut followed against India after Matt Prior stood down due to injury. He made an instant impact scoring 85 from 83 balls and excelled with the gloves to help England to a 266-run win. Now playing with Lancashire in country cricket, Buttler’s main strengths with the bat are his aggression and inventiveness. After making his name in the Big Bash League, he is now a contracted player with the Rajasthan Royals in the IPL and widely regarded as one of England’s best short-form cricketers.
