The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) reiterated on Thursday that the final round of the HBL Pakistan Super League 2019 (PSL4), which includes eight games, including the final of March 17, in Lahore and Karachi according to the original schedule with all six The franchisees and their international stars will give their weight behind the decision.
The announcement was made by the head of the board, Mr. Ehsan Mani, at a press conference at the Dubai International Stadium prior to the game by Lahore Qalandars and Karachi Kings. The media conference was attended by the franchise owners, with the exception of Javed Afridi of Peshawar Zalmi, who had to leave early due to a previous engagement.
“I just want to confirm that the eight HBL PSL games will take place in Pakistan as planned,” said Mani.
“I would like to thank my colleagues who are sitting next to me for their support. There was no doubt that HBL PSL would continue as planned. This is a unanimous decision of us all, “he added.
Mr. Mani was grateful to foreign players for retaining their previous involvement in Pakistan.
“I am also grateful to our overseas players who are ready to come to Pakistan. All who have committed themselves before the beginning of the event are still with us. They were supportive and there is no one who had a second thought.
“I’m also grateful to all the support staff working on the ground. As you know, on the production side we have some challenges that came out when one of our production partners was pulled out overnight. But then the team came together and made sure we had a seamless transition. Now I am absolutely confident that we will be in Pakistan as planned. “
