HBL Pakistan Super League Player Draft Pick Order for the 2020 season was announced today after the unveiling of the first-round pick order on Sunday.
Chairman PCB Ehsan Mani, CEO Wasim Khan, owners and representatives of HBL PSL companies, as well as representatives of league partners HBL and Blitz Advertising gathered at Gaddafi Stadium on Sunday to determine the order of the first round of HBL PSL 2020 to determine the player design.
The first-round picks were revealed by the depiction of a centuries-old street cricket tradition with the cricket bat.

On Monday, a specially designed statistical model was used to determine the selection order for the remaining 17 rounds of the design.
With the release of the picking order, the transfer and retention window for HBL PSL 2020 has been officially opened as the teams negotiate interesting trading opportunities.
Under this year’s draft policy, each team can retain up to eight players from last year’s squad. The obligation of the teams to select five foreign players from 16 players remains unchanged compared to previous issues of HBL PSL.
In addition, teams may select two additional players, one of whom may be a foreign player.
However, the teams have the option of including at least three and no more than four foreign players in the XI.
HBL PSL will introduce the wildcard selection rule for the 2020 season. With a placeholder selection, teams can choose players from silver or gold in the Diamond category round, or players from silver in the gold category round at the draft. Each team is allowed to do a wild card pick at the draft and play a player accordingly.

The HBL PSL 2020 will take place in Pakistan and should start in February 2020.
