The sixth round of Ranji Trophy 2019-20 ended yesterday. On the last day of this round, many teams won and many matches were drawn. While Sarfaraz Khan scored an excellent triple century for Mumbai, for Delhi, Nitish Rana gave his team the victory by scoring a tremendous century in T20 cricket style.
Let’s look at the round-up of the first day’s game:
Delhi vs Vidarbha
Delhi defeated Vidarbha by 6 wickets. Vidarbha scored 179 and 330/3. Delhi won the match by scoring 163 and 348/4. Nitish Rana scored an unbeaten 105 in the second innings.
Gujarat vs Punjab
Gujarat beat Punjab by 110 runs. Gujarat scored 181 and 167. In response, Punjab’s team could score only 229 and 109 runs.
Himachal Pradesh vs Baroda
The match between Himachal Pradesh and Baroda was a draw. Himachal scored 496 runs in the first innings. Baroda scored 150 for 2 wickets in their first innings.
Madhya Pradesh vs Saurashtra
It was a draw between the two teams. Saurashtra scored 344 in the first innings and 256/9 in the second innings. Madhya Pradesh drew the match by scoring 280 and 223/9. Jaydev Unadkat took 6 wickets.
Mumbai vs Uttar Pradesh
It was a draw between the two teams. UP declared the innings by scoring 625 for 8 wickets in the first innings. In reply, Mumbai had lost 4 wickets for 128 runs at one time, but Sarfaraz Khan, playing an unbeaten inning of 301 runs, brought the team to a huge score of 688/7.
Assam vs Maharashtra
Maharashtra won the match by 218 runs. Maharashtra scored 175 in the first innings and 365/9 in the second innings. In reply, Assam could score 244 and only 78 runs in the second innings.
Jharkhand vs Uttarakhand
Jharkhand defeated Uttarakhand by 6 wickets. Uttarakhand scored 227 and 273 runs. Jharkhand won the match by scoring 298 and 203/4.
Nagaland vs Bihar
The match between the two teams was a draw. Nagaland scored 166 and 444/4. Bihar scored 509 runs for 7 wickets.
Goa vs Chandigarh
This match was also a draw. Goa scored 251 in the first innings and 253/6 in the second innings. Chandigarh declared their first innings at 580/7.
