The Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) will look to continue their winning streak while Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) will be eager to break their losing streak if the two teams play in Match 31 of the 2020 Dream11 Indian Premier League (IPL) at Sharjah Cricket compete against each other at the stadium on Thursday.
RCB is in third place in the points table with 10 points against the name, while KXIP is at the bottom of the ranking and is looking for a much-needed rise in the points table.
KXIP’s only win of the season came against RCB when KL Rahul set the stage on fire to get his team’s 97-run win and they’ll be looking to gain a lot of confidence from it. RCB, on the other hand, will endeavor to regulate the results at the second meeting of these two teams against IPL 2020.
Here are the players to watch out for in this game in Sharjah:
Mayank and Rahul’s Opener Club
With 387 and 337 runs respectively, KL Rahul and Mayank Agarwal currently occupy the first two places in the list of leading run-getters this season. There are five half centuries and two hundred between the two, and KXIP wants the duo to continue on their merry way and lead the team across the finish line in Sharjah.
Ravi Bishnoi, who plays in his first IPL, showed a lot of heart. While doing a few runs at times, the leg spinner has indicated that he has the stomach for battle. The last time these two sides faced each other in the 2020 IPL, Bishnoi had taken three wickets and he will try to get an encore of that performance against greats like ABD, Kohli, Aaron Finch and Devdutt Padikkal.
AB de Villiers
73 * out of 33 balls with 5 fours and 6 sixes! AB de Villiers turned it on, and in a way, did it when RCB faced Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in their last game in Sharjah. Mister 360 was in brand new form against KKR and RCB will hope to get well in Sharjah.
Run hard between the wickets, score and repeat the process. This seems to be Virat Kohli’s mantra of success. The RCB skipper was dismissed only once in his last four games with 33 *, 90 *, 43 and 72 * (most recently first). He will try to continue the same way.
Spin twins Washington Sundar-Yuzvendra Chahal
Misery, effective, and between gates. Washington Sundar didn’t go wrong with the ball in hand. The right-arm off-spinner conceded 20 runs and took two wickets in four overs when he and Yuzvendra Chahal conceded no more than 12 in his four overs when RCB tightened the screws against KKR in what is a happy hunting ground has stayed for the batsmen this season.
