FIFA and Electronic Arts Inc. announced today that the FIFA eWorld Cup ™ 2019 saw a further increase in audience numbers and record highs. During the three-day event, more than 47 million hits were reported on online platforms.
With impressive numbers throughout the season, calls for the FIFA eWorld Cup ™ 2019 rose 60 percent year-on-year, becoming the most watched event in the EA SPORTS ™ FIFA 19 Global Series.
The action was streamed for the first time in six languages - Arabic, Chinese, English, German, Portuguese and Spanish – and broadcast in more than 75 territories around the world. In addition, the EA SPORTS ™ FIFA 19 Global Series has received more than 140 million views in the 2018/2019 season since launching in October 2018.
At the FIFA eWorld Cup ™ 2019, the 32 best EA SPORTS ™ FIFA 19 players in the world fought for the title of champion. Germany’s Mohammed ‘MoAuba’ Harkous was eventually crowned FIFA World Cup ™ winner in 2019, winning the $ 250,000 grand prize and an exclusive invitation to the Best FIFA Football Awards ™ in Milan on September 23.
