Rajasthan Royals (RR) and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) will kick-start the game of the third double-headed weekend of the Dream11 Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020 at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on Saturday.
Both teams will aim for a successful return. While RR lost their last game against Delhi Capitals (DC), RCB was beaten by Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) in their last game but finished in the top four after recording five wins out of eight games. Meanwhile, RR is in seventh place in the points table after winning three games.
When they last met, it was RCB who came out on top. While RCB aim to beat RR 2-0 in the 2020 IPL, the unit led by Steve Smith will be eager to improve head-to-head results and claim their fourth win of the season in the process.
Here are Important Players:
Chris Morris hammered 25 * out of 8 balls against KXIP and was impressive with the ball. He only conceded 22 runs from his four overs. The South African all-rounder can tone the ball. He can bowl at any stage of the game and with his pace and ability to move the ball he will be the key to RCB’s success.
While he didn’t score many goals in RCB’s last game against KXIP, Devdutt Padikkal had had an impressive half-century when RCB faced RR earlier this season. The young left-hander will be looking to make his fourth half century when RCB takes on RR.
The bold Jos Buttler was seen against DC before his inning ended a little prematurely with 22 of 9 balls. But his trademark pick-up six and shovels against Anrich Nortje showed the wicketkeeper batsman was on good terms. RR will expect to make it big against RCB.
The Virat Kohli Batting Juggernaut kept rolling as the RCB Skipper scored a constant 48 against KXIP. The right-hander has nearly 290 runs against his name in his last five innings and will again be someone RCB will rely on to get the team through.
Jofra Archer burned the ball against DC. There was speed, jumping power, movement and there were also gates. The right arm pacemaker, who scored three hits while conceding only 19 runs, tore the ball apart and hit twice in power play. When he was brought back into the attack, he added another wicket to his account. If he shoots against the punch of Virat, AB de Villiers and Aaron Finch, RR has a chance to win their fourth match.
