Rajasthan Royals (RR) will look to seal their second straight win, while Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) will be keen to get back on the road to winning when the two teams in Match 40 of the Dream11 Indian Premier League ( IPL) compete against each other in 2020.
RR, who has four wins out of ten games, comes into this game because of her seven-wicket win over Chennai Super Kings (CSK). On the other hand, SRH has scored three wins out of nine games. The team led by David Warner almost won their last game against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) before securing a victory in the Super Over.
In the head-to-head competition between RR and SRH, the last time these two teams faced each other this season, RR prevailed due to a sensational 85-year partnership between Rahul Tewatia and Riyan Parag. RR will aim for the same result while SRH will try to avenge this loss. This makes for a fascinating competition and here are the players who can decide the outcome of the game.
Kane Williamson hobbled after falling awkwardly during SRH’s game against KKR. However, the New Zealand skipper wasn’t deterred and scored an attractive 29 to set the tone for SRH’s innings. While SRH was unable to finish the game, when fit the right-handed will happily play a role as SRH seeks a successful return on investment.
While he didn’t find it easy to get runs scoring against CSK, Steve Smith made sure he stayed on the field and gave Buttler good company to lead RR to a win. The RR Skipper will look for more runs and a more dominant performance when his team competes against SRH.
Jos Buttler held no wickets during RR’s game against Chennai Super Kings but held onto two catches before playing a match-winning stroke of 70 out of 48 balls to help his team achieve a 7-wicket win to achieve. The right-hander will once again be of vital importance to RR as he tries to keep his playoff hopes alive.
David Warner didn’t open the innings during his team’s final game against Sunrisers Hyderabad, but led his team almost home with an unbeaten 47 before the game resulted in a super over. The SRH Skipper is currently the lead run-getter for his team and he will strive to continue his contribution with the racket and lead his team to victory.
Spin duo from Shreyas Gopal-Rahul Tewatia
He only had one wicket to show for his efforts, but Shreya’s Gopal’s bowling efforts – 4-0-14-1 – against CSK helped RR keep things close. The leg spinner was cleverly assisted by Rahul Tewatia, another Leggie, who picked a wicket in RR’s last game that only took 18 runs in 4 overs. While RR is aiming for one more such feat from the duo, they’ll also be looking for another sensational Tewatia show with the bat.
