Three goals in the closing stages helped Senegal beat the UAE 3-1 to secure a place in the quarter-finals of the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup.
Both teams have played very conservatively in the first two seasons and have given few chances on both sides.
Senegal, however, came alive in the third period. Mamadou Sylla interrupted a corner kick from the UAE before deflecting a long-range shot into the bottom corner. Ninou Diatta followed with another goal from a distance, scoring a nasty rebound in front of Emirati keeper Mohamed Aljasmi.
Raoul Mendy made it three with a delicate chip before Ali Karim scored a bad goal for the UAE.
Senegal held on for the second time in a row and secured a place in the quarterfinals for the Beach Soccer World Cup.
