Sri Lanka spinner Kevin Koththigoda’s Bowling Action

Sri Lankan leg spinner Kevin Koththigoda has created a sensation with his unusual bowling action in the T10 League in Abu Dhabi. In the match between Bangla Tigers and Deccan Gladiators on Saturday, they saw him bowling in front of Shane Watson and Anton Devcich.

The action of Koththigoda was compared to the former South African spinner Paul Adams, whose action “frog in the blender” a few decades ago took the international cricket by storm.

The spinner conceded 22 runs on Saturday in his 2 overs. He managed to fool Watson a couple of times, but the Australian beat him twice for six.

At first, to beat the request, the Tigers scored 108 for 5 in 10 overs. Colin Ingram scored the first goal with 37 of 21 hits, while Rilee Rossouw scored with 26 of 12 hits. Shane Watson played the lead role for the Gladiators and scored 41 of 25 balls.

Koththigoda was in the 2017 U-19 Asian Cup.
