Bangladesh opener Tamim Iqbal Eliminate from India tour Squad next Month.
The right-handed batsman sent his request for withdrawal to the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB), citing “personal reasons”. This application was approved by the Board.
Tamim is one of the most experienced players in Bangladesh. Since his international debut in 2007 at the age of only 17, he has been a key member of the team. During this time he has made a name for himself as a batsman in all three forms of play. Now his team has to do without a test trip to neighboring India.
Bangladesh will play the first of three T20Is against India on Sunday, November 3, before hosting a two-game test series on Thursday, November 14, as part of the ICC World Test Championship.
The BCB has yet to name Tamim’s successor in the squad.
