Sri Lanka tour of Pakistan 2019 continues as we know Pakistan won the ODI series by 2-0 In Karachi. Now Lahore will host three T20I matches between Sri Lanka and Pakistan. The first match will take place on Saturday 5 October 2019 at Qaddafi Stadium Lahore, 6:30 pm local time.

Pakistan last hosted a Twenty20 International series in Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium in September 2017. In a three-way fight against a World XI led by Faf du Plessis, the hosts won 2-1 and later in October played a T20I against Sri Lanka.

The batsmen Babar Azam, Fakhar Zaman and Haris Sohail, as well as the left-pacesetters Usman Shinwari and Mohammad Amir, all of whom played a crucial role in making Pakistan the # 1 MRF Tires ICC T20I leaderboard, were well received in the series in the ODIs.
This is joined by the experienced duo Umar Akmal and Ahmed Shehzad, who after strong performances in this year’s Pakistan Super League recalls in the 16-member squad. Also, the all-rounder Faheem Ashraf, who impressed with 21 hair in this tournament, was called back.

Sri Lanka, led by Dasun Shanaka, has a similar squad as the one who played the ODIs. They have the batsmen in their lineup who could put the runs on the board, but they have to contribute collectively. Sri Lanka’s bowlers have not been so disruptive to ODIs, and that’s an area they need to work to get into the T20I round.
What happened last time between Pakistan vs Sri Lanka T20I Match?
Pakistan and Sri Lanka recently played in a bilateral T20I series in 2017, when they played the first two games of the three-game series in Abu Dhabi before moving to Lahore for the final game. Pakistan swept this series 3: 0. The island national recently won a 2012 T20I game in a bilateral competition against Pakistan. They have won only two of the eleven games between the teams.
In the recently ended ODI series, Sri Lanka had its own moments and fought hard in the two ODIs (one was washed out), but Pakistan won the series 2-0.
