The middle-order remains a problem for South Africa too. Rassie van der Dussen played a useful number 4 hand in the previous game and the hosts will hope that he can continue in a similar way. The bowling department tends to blow hot and cold, and if the unit can line up two good games after sparkling in Port Elizabeth, it is a source of trust.
South Africa has not won a bilateral series in any format since March 2019, when it won a T20I series against Sri Lanka at home. They will desperately try to end this series when they face Australia in Newlands.

Australia, led by David Warner, seemed to have control over the chase at 124/2 in the 16th, requiring only 35 runs off 28 balls at a time, but Alex Carey’s wicket triggered a slide.
South Africa’s bowlers played closely with the incoming batsmen, and even Warner couldn’t do much to break the bonds. He remained undefeated with 67 of 56 balls because Australia was restricted to 146/6.
