Pakistani’s fastest-growing rally rider, Salma Marwat Khan, added another feather this weekend as she won the Chakwal 4×4 Challenge’s first off-road rally.
Salma showed perfect control of the steering as she drove her truck through the challenging terrain and completed the track in only 22: 09.40 minutes to win the women’s category.
Alhamdullilah finished first in the Chakwal rally of the 1st District Lake District in 2019, she wrote on her Twitter account.
Asma Raza Siddiqi finished second, at least 1:32 minutes behind the winner. Anila Khan finished third.
This is the fourth off-road title for Salma, who has recently appeared in the motorsport scene of Pakistan and participated in eight different races. Previously, she had won the titles of the Hub Rally, the Sawat Rally and the Sarfranga Rally.
Salma said after her victory to Geo.tv that she was excited to win another title. “It’s a great feeling to win titles,” she said. “I love motorsport and want to be the best in this sport,” she added.
