An all-round team effort from Sri Lanka ensured that they celebrated a major success with 122 wins in the third ODI against Bangladesh and completed a 3-0 series against Bangladesh.
Sri Lanka came close to 300 after a combined batting performance led by Angelo Mathews 87 before an opening burst from Kasun Rajitha and three wickets from Dasun Shanaka satisfied the hopes of the Tigers for a comforting victory.
Avishka Fernando was the only member of the home team who missed the game. Shafiul Islam was late with a brace of six.

Captain Dimuth Karunaratne and wicket keeper Kusal Perera fell in the ’40s, while Kusal Mendis did not leave long after the half-century performance, but Mathews continued until the final reworking of the innings, before leaving 13 runs behind his fourth ODI century.
Shanaka helped accelerate the late innings and scored twice in his 30-ball play with 14 balls, while Wanindu Hasaranga ended the innings with successive boundaries.
With the ball Shafiul and Soumya Sarkar have conquered three gates each, although both have also run over a ball. Only Taijul Islam, which claimed 1/34 of its 10 overs, was able to keep the hit rate under control.
Sarkar was also impressed by the persecution. He was the only batsman from Bangladesh to emerge from a catastrophic persecution that had some merit.
He scored the most hits at 69, but apart from Taijul’s happy 38 * from 9th, no one could cross 14. Rajitha removed both openings within the first eight overs before Shanaka took the lead and eviscerated the center forward to bring Bangladesh down 83 points / 5.
Lahiru Kumara intervened and sacked Sabbir Rahman and Mehidy Hasan Miraz in succession. When Akila Dananjaya Sarkar bowled, Sri Lanka prevailed with 122 runs.
For the tourists, following the promise of the early stages of their men’s cricket world cup campaign, they have now lost five games in five and are rarely ranked in this series.
But the credit should go to Sri Lanka. It was a real team performance of the hosts, not only with ball and racket, but also in the field, with three wickets coming over excellent catches from each of different field players, and the result ended with a spout suitably out of the arm of Karunaratne whose team is moving in the same direction.
