Both teams of the Indian Super League 2019-20 final have been decided. Chennaiyin FC and ATK FC have made it to the finals after playoff matches. Now this season’s final match between these two teams will be played on 14 March. ATK and Chennaiyin FC have won the trophy 2-2 times so far. Now it remains to be seen who wins the record of the ISL finals this season and captures the trophy 3 times.
Talking of playoff matches, Chennaiyin FC faced FC Goa in the first leg of semi-final 1. In this match, Chennai defeated Goa 4–1 badly. Chennai did not give Goa any chance and took a big lead in the beginning.
After this, Bengaluru FC face ATK FC in semi-final 2 on 1 March. In this match Bengaluru team won 1–0. Bengaluru scored the only goal in the 31st minute. On 7 March, the semi-final 1 second leg match took place between FC Goa and Chennaiyin FC. FC Goa won 4–2 in this match but could not make it to the final. The Chennai team scored 4 goals in the first leg and also scored 2 goals in the second leg and their total number of goal increased to 6. While the Goa team was able to score just 1 goal in the first leg and despite scoring 4 goals in the second leg, they lost 6-5.
On March 8, the second leg of the second semi-final took place between ATK FC and Bengaluru FC. In this match, ATK FC defeated Bengaluru 3–1 to advance to the finals. Bengaluru scored just 1 goal in the first leg and ATK entered the final scoring 3 goals in the second leg.
The stage is set, will it be Ms Dhoni and Abhishek Bachchan’s Chennaiyin FC or Sourav Ganguly’s ATK FC ?
