It’s Matchday 9 in the 2020 Dream11 Indian Premier League (IPL) as Rajasthan Royals (RR) face Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) at Sharjah Cricket Stadium on Sunday.

RR had a solid start to their IPL 2020 campaign, beating Chennai Super Kings (CSK) by 16 runs. While Sanju Samson and Steve Smith scored an impressive 74 and 69 respectively, and Jofra Archer stepped in with a quick shot of 27 * out of 8, Rahul Tewatia took three to help RR take a win.
When they got to KXIP, they bounced back from a super-over loss to Delhi Capitals, beating Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) on the back of a KL Rahul master class on Thursday. The KXIP spinners – Ravi Bishnoi and Murugan Ashwin – did their part to achieve a huge win in 97 runs.
With RR and KXIP both trying to continue their winning run and add two more points to their account, there can be a delicious clash in Sharjah. Here are our tips that could improve the fortunes of their teams.
Sanju Samson
Sanju Samson was instrumental in RR’s success in the opening game against CSK. He smashed 74 of 32 and then did a fine job as a wicketkeeper taking 2 catches and as many stumps. With his ability to measure the ball perfectly and score quickly, RR doesn’t mind if Samson has an encore to the performance he’s put on against CSK.
KL Rahul
The KXIP skipper was on a reel, leading from the front, slamming 132 * of 69 balls for a 97-run win. The wicketkeeper batsman, who was only leading his squad for the second time, hit 14 fours and 7 sixes in his whirlwind innings, and KXIP will once again hope the stylish right-handed man pulls out all the guns that blaze against RR.
Jos Buttler
The mandatory quarantine has ended and Jos Buttler is ready to cancel his IPL 2020 campaign. The English wicketkeeper batsman is expected to open the innings for RR and there is no need to showcase his destructive ability with the bat. The right-hander can tonk the ball and be extremely cheeky in his hit style. With RR aiming for their second straight win, Buttler will be the player they’ll be counting on.
Sheldon Cottrell
The left arm pacemaker picked up two wickets, including that of Virat Kohli, during KXIP’s win over RCB, and Sheldon Cottrell is pumped up to add a few more wickets (and those salutes) to his account when KXIP takes on RR .
Ravi Bishnoi
This may still be the beginning, but Ravi Bishnoi is proving to be KXIP’s top choice for spin bowling. The young leg spinner picked up a wicket against DC in his first IPL game before scoring three hits in KXIP’s win over RCB. KXIP wants him to continue his good form and lead them to their second win of the season.
